Attendance It is crucial that students attend school daily and on time. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Class begins at 7:45 am. All students are expected to be in their seats and ready to begin the school day. If a student is absent they must return to class with a note specifying the reason for the absence. It is the student’s responsibility to make up missed assignments and tests. Make up assignments must be completed after school. Unless special arrangements have been made, students have one week from the last day of absence to submit make up work. Homework Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday nights and occasionally on weekends. I expect students to do their best on each assignment. I expect homework to be neat, not sloppy. I expect students to do the work on their own and only ask for help after they have given their best effort. I expect all assignments to be turned in on time. Students are responsible for copying down their homework from the board on a daily basis. Materials PLEASE make sure your child has school supply materials on a daily basis. This prevents loss of time and lack of focus. Please make sure your child’s textbooks are all covered throughout the year. Torn and ripped book covers must be replaced. Textbooks are to be brought to class on a daily basis. Grades: Students earn their grades the following way: Tests/Quizzes/Pop Quizzes-40 % Classwork-30% Projects-20% Homework-10% Grades will be uploaded weekly soon on school speaks .Please check it consistently. Tutoring Tutoring will be available starting the month of September. Please note collaboration tutoring will be mandatory based on teacher evaluation.
